IASA New England's September event will be hosted at the VMWare offices and will feature Kyle Smith of VMWare presenting on Virtualization.
Abstract
Virtualization has advanced significantly in the last 40+ years, and recent developments will push it even further into new spaces such as mobile devices, client virtualization, and cloud computing. We'll cover some of where virtualization came from, how it has transitioned from the mainframe to commodity hardware, and discuss some of the work being done by VMware and others to make virtualization pervasive.
